Our Story

Whitfords Brewing Company (WBC) is located in the brand new Dining & Entertainment Hub of Westfiled’s Whitford City, under Event Cinema.

Featuring similar stylings to its sister venue in Northbridge, WBC has been developed with the local community in mind! Split over two levels, including a roof top Skydeck with views of the Indian Ocean and entire shopping complex, WBC is open daily from 11am to late, Monday to Sunday.

Master Brewer, Ken Arrowsmith, formerly of Emu Bitter fame (he used to be on the cans), is responsible for producing our own range of Beerland Beer at WBC, including seasonal small batch brews. We are the only fully operational brewery in the CBD area.

You can also enjoy a wide range of local and international beers, wine, spirits and cocktails. We seek to provide a diverse menu based around the freshest local produce, quality steaks, pizzas and modern favourites.

With regular menu specials and fun food events such as Man vs Food and Chilli week, we are sure to provide something for everyone! If that isn’t enough to whet your appetite, we can also host your next function or special event. WBC can cater to everything from set menus to casual events for 10 and up to 750 guests.

Be sure to ask about our beer tasting options and beverage packages.

Master Brewer

Under the careful eye of our Master Brewer and Fellow of the Institute of Brewing and Distilling, Ken Arrowsmith, Beerland brews its beers onsite in its 12HL brew house and offers a core range consisting of Pale Ale, Lager, Wheat Beer, Kolsch and IPA.

Ken and the brewing team produce a wide range of seasonal small batch specials from Get Schwarty – a malty dark beer brewed in the traditional style of a Schwartzbier, to a fruity twist on the classicly European style of Sasion in Taking the Pith.

A well-established man, brewing for more than enough breweries throughout his lifetime including his most recent, pre-Beerland days as Director of Operations at the Swan Brewing Co, Ken enjoys playing a bit of soccer, basketball, and even kite surfing – in addition to tasting beers of all styles and provenance.
